1988 The Birmid Qualcast group (which owned Atco) was acquired by Blue Circle who sold off the foundry divisions[1].

1991 Qualcast's Derby site was closed with all activities transferred to Stowmarket. Atco-Qualcast was formed but the famous brand names that the company owned were protected.

1992 The Atco-Qualcast garden-products business was making a loss. Blue Circle sold it to its management[2]

1995 Acquired by Robert Bosch. Atco-Qualcast was the leading cylinder mower maker in Britain[3]
