1975 Balfour, Beatty and Co, a subsidiary of BICC changed its name to Balfour Beatty.

1979 Balfour Beatty Group had 4 operating subsidiaries:

1981 Built the Pitlochry By-Pass - see images - (designed by Jamieson MacKay and Partners)

1986 BICC acquired the Building Services division of Haden Group; this would complement the electrical contracting activities of Balfour Beatty[1]

1986 Haden Ltd was renamed Haden Building Services Ltd

2000 Parent company, BICC, having sold its cable operations, renamed the group Balfour Beatty.

2009 Acquired Parsons Brinckerhoff
