1851 Charles Bartlett c.40, born Hampstead, Middx, a scale beam manufacturer and weighing machine (maker), lived in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, with his wife Lydia Bartlett 36, born in Bristol, Emily 4, born in Newcastle, Charles H Bartlett 2, John Bartlett 5 Mo[1]

1871 Charles Bartlett 65, born Hampstead, Middx, a scale beam manufacturer employing 13 men and 1 boy, lived in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, with his wife Lydia Bartlett 56, John Bartlett 20, and ironmonger, and Emily Bartlett 24[2]
