Charles Orme Bastian worked for a time for Crompton and Co.

1924 Death of Charles Orme Bastian, (c.1869-1924), inventor of "Bastian" Electric Water Heater and Thermal Storage Geyser; patented many improvements in electric heating, especially radiant heating[1].
