1907 The Bell & Howell Company was founded in Chicago, as a manufacturer of motion picture projectors.[1]

1936 Started making equipment for mailing.

1974 Produced a microfilm installation of a camera and reader which meant the films needed to be sent away for processing. A processor was also available that could process three films at once.[2]

1974 A keyboard facility offering users of Anadex digital printers the flexibility of 9-digit manual data entry provides an extension to the range of digital printers from Bell and Howell.[3]
