Born the youngest son of Capt. John Crow Coxon, of Birkenhead.

1861 Living in Palmyra Square, Warrington: Benjamin Payne Coxon (age 28 born Birkenhead), Civil Engineer. With his wife Sarah and their two daughters. Also relatives and servants.[2]

1876 July 9th. Died at The Poplars, Christleton, Chester, age 44 years.<ref.Liverpool Daily Post - Tuesday 11 July 1876</ref>
