1920 Benmore Distilleries Limited, a company registered in England, was incorporated. It acquired the Benmore Distillery in Campbeltown, formerly owned by [[Bulloch Lade and Co]]. The company also acquired Lochhead Distillery, also in Campbeltown, Lochindaal Distillery on Islay and the Speyside distillery of Dallas Dhu.
