At Brierley Hill in the West Midlands are the Black Delph Locks. They were rebuilt in 1858 to link the Dudley Canal and the Stourbridge Canal and are a flight of 8 (originally 9) separate locks.
The channel rises from the 356 ft Stourbridge level to the 441 ft level of the Dudley No. 1 canal.
