Brandy Wharf Bridge

Single span cast iron arch bridge carrying the B1205 across the River Ancholme south of Brigg, Lincs.
Constructed in 1831. Designed by John Rennie as part of the River Ancholme Drainage Scheme. Five cast iron ribs of 54ft 9in span made by the Butterley Co.
1988 The bridge was strengthened by inserting arched steel beams between the iron ribs, so the ribs no long take the weight of the traffic. In addition the cast iron plate deck was replaced with reinforced concrete.[1]
