1974 The name of Bristol Street Group, the holding company of Bristol Street Motors, was changed to BSG International because only 30 percent of the group's business was in the motor trade; the group was Europe's largest seat belt manufacturer, through Britax, a producers of caravan lighting, supplier of the North Sea oil industry, maker of nuts and bolts and metal gantries, and a metal finishing specialist[4]
