1928 [1] Company founded. A member of the A. K. U. group and the only United Kingdom producer of cuprammonium.

1947 British Industries Fair Advert for Bemberg Yarn (for the manufacture of stockings, lingerie fabrics, dress fabrics and other products). Manufacturers of Fine Denier, fine Filament Yarns, Extensively Used in the Knitting field for women's Hosiery and other Knitted Apparel, and the Finest Woven Cloths chiefly for Underwear, Blouses and Evening Wear. (Textiles Section - Earls court, Ground Floor, Stand No. 112) [2]

1953 Closed down chiefly as the result of competition from nylon in the stocking industry. The company had a production capacity of 3m lbs. The site was acquired by British Nylon Spinners[3]
