10 Bothwell Street, Glasgow. "Distillers from malt only, at Loch Katrine Distillery, Camlachie, Glasgow, Caol Ila Distillery, Islay, and Benmore Distillery, Campbeltown."[1]
1868 The firm built Benmore Distillery in Saddell Street, Campbeltown. This was unusual in that, until that time, Campbeltown distilleries had all been financed and owned locally. Its annual output was reported by Barnard to be 125,000 gallons.
1920 The company went into voluntary liquidation.[2]
1924 A new, private company of the same name was incorporated at 149 West George Street, Glasgow with capital of £350,000.[3]
1926 Acquired by Distillers Co[4]
1927 The company was registered for a third time under the same name as a private company at 133 Waterloo Street, Glasgow with capital of £10,000.[5]
