Formed from the merger of three chemical companies: Bush Beach and Gent; Frank Segner and Co., and F. S. Bayley Clanahan and Co. [1]

1959 Acquired by Grovewood Securities. [1]

By 1973 had a wholly-owned subsidiary Godfrey Woodhead and Son, maker of sulphate of potash and hydrochloric acid of Huddersfield; had 55 percent interest in Bush Beach Engineering.
