1865 Company was incorporated.

1880 Railway opened and became part of the Caledonian Railway [1]

1908 The line is 99.5 miles in length, and is maintained and worked by the Caledonian Railway Company [2]

1923 Became part of London, Midland and Scottish Railway [3]
