Trafford Park was a deer park owned by the de Trafford family, loacted immediately to the west of the city of Manchester and immediately south of the city of Salford. In the late 19th century it was developed as an industrial estate, probably the first example in the world of a large area developed specifically for industrial use by a variety of users.
