1910 The Holt Manufacturing Co of USA registered the Caterpillar trademark

1915-19 Caterpillar Tractors Ltd filed about 25 British Patent on improvements in traction engines of the track-laying type, gun mounts, range finders, etc, all being communications from The Holt Manufacturing Co of USA

1916 Caterpillar Tractors Ltd offered a range of Caterpillar tractors in Britain[1]

1921 Patent on landing gear for aeroplanes.

1925 The Caterpillar Tractor Co was formed in the USA, bringing together Holt Manufacturing and C L Best Tractor Co.

1927 Augustus Granville White was chairman. The company was put into voluntary liquidation.[2]
