Cauldon Potteries
of Cauldon Place Works, Shelton (Hanley), Stoke-on-Trent.
1904 Cauldon (Brown-Westhead, Moore and Co) was registered on 24 March, to acquire the business of porcelain and earthenware manufacturers, carried on by T. C. Brown-Westhead, Moore and Co. [1]
1905 Cauldon Ltd
1920 Cauldon Potteries Ltd
1929 William H. Goss firm was sold to Cauldon Potteries but the name of Goss continued to be used.
1933 Harrison and Son (Hanley) Ltd purchased Cauldon Potteries Ltd.
1962 the firm was divided when the porcelain side was continued by E. W. Brain and Co (now Coalport, which in turn is part of the Wedgwood group). The rest of the Cauldon Potteries Ltd business was acquired by Pountney and Co of Bristol during the later part of 1962. The business of Pountney Ltd failed in 1977.
