1896 Advertisement for staff. C. Binks, Central Engineering Works, Micklegate, York.[3]

1897 July. Received a contract from F. G. Van Hillenschmidt and Co of Warsaw for four of their patent motor vehicles. Have patent cork and rubber tyres by G. P. Appleyard, a director of the company.[4][5]
