Charles Edwin Heinke (1818-1869)

1818 Born in London, son of Gotthilf Frederick Heinke and his wife Sarah[1]; brother of John William Heinke

1845 Gotthilf Frederick Heinke went into business with his sons as submarine engineers

Introduced improvements in the diving suit designed by his brother which was shown at the 1851 Great Exhibition and at the 1855 Paris Exhibition

1851 Frederick Heinke 64, ironmonger, lived in Marylebone, with Charles E Heinke 33, ironmonger...., Elizabeth R Heinke 26[2]

1857 Elected Associate ICE 3 Feb 1857

of Messrs Heinke[3]

1869 Died
