Charles Edwin Ware (1837-1911)

CHARLES EDWIN WARE, born at Exeter on the 17th‘ September, 1837, died at that city on the 3rd October, 1911.
He served an apprenticeship to his father, and after being employed under Government for a short time, he commenced practice as a consulting engineer at Exeter, and was responsible for a number of important works in the locality.
In addition to his private practice, he held the office of City Surveyor between 1867 and 1874, and also acted as assessor for several Fire Insurance companies.
Mr. Ware was elected an Associate of The Institution on the 1st April, 1873, was subsequently placed in the class of Associate Members, and was transferred to the class of Members on the 17th February, 1880.
