1861 Living at Oliver Street, Aston: Frederick Brampton (age 29 born Leicester), a Manufacturer of Rule Joints and Spring Back Portfolios employing 1 man, 1 boy and 11 women and girls. With his wife Caroline Brampton (age 34 born Birmingham) and their children Charles H. Brampton (age 6 born Birmingham); Frederik W. Brampton (age 4 born Birmingham); and Samuel Brampton (age 11 Months born Birmingham). One servant and a boarder.[1]

1881 Living at Wellington Road, Handsworth: Caroline Brampton (age 53 born Birmingham), an Annuitant and Widow. With her children Charles Henry Brampton (age 26 born Birmingham), a Manufacturer; Walter Brampton (age 19 born Birmingham), a Manufacturer's Assistant; Arthur Brampton (age 17 born Birmingham), a Chemist's Apprentice; Caroline M.
