1916 Charron Ltd acquired a controlling interest in W. S. Laycock[1] to produce the Charron car when the war ended.
1920 Production had been delayed but was started before the end of the year.
1921 W S Laycock made the chassis for the car which was seen as the Rolls-Royce of small cars. Demand for the car exceeeded supply. The manufacurers had been able to make use of the experience of the French builders; it incorporated the best features of English and French design[2]
1919-28 Produced around 700 cars
