1912 Obituary [1]

CLAYTON TURNER MASON, I.S.O., born at Tarrington, Herefordshire, in 1847, died at Fremantle, Western Australia, on the 4th October, 1911.

Trained under the late Mr. Thos. Waring, he gained his early experience in this country and the United States.

In 1874 he was appointed General Manager of the Western Australian Railways, and relinquished this office in 1891 for the Collectorship of Customs, which he retained until his death.

Mr. Mason was elected a Member of The Institution on the 1st April, 1884
