1970 Cleveland Bridge and Engineering Co was acquired by Trafalgar House

1982 Redpath Dorman Long was sold to Trafalgar House for £10 million - British Steel's chairman Ian MacGregor wanted to concentrate the corporation's activities purely on iron and steel making[1] and merged....... with Cleveland Bridge and Engineering Co. From the 1st October the structural engineering division was put under the collective umbrella of Cleveland Redpath Engineering Holdings.[2]
