1857 Partnership change. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Partnership lately subsisting between us, the undersigned, JOHN COLE, JAMES MARCHENT, [[Isaac Webster|ISAAC WEBSTER]], JOHN COLE, the younger, and JAMES COLE, carrying on business as Engineers, Millwrights, and Iron and Brass Founders, at Prospect Mill, in the township of Bowling, in the parish of Bradford, in the county of York, under the style or firm of "Cole, Marchent, and Company," was DISSOLVED, so far as regards the said James Marchent, on the first day of July instant; and that the said business hath since been, and will continue to be, carried on by the said John Cole, Isaac Webster, John Cole, the younger, and James Cole, at Prospect Mill aforesaid, and under the style of "Cole, Marchent, and Company," notwithstanding the retirement of the said James Marchent. <br>And Notice is also hereby given, that all debts owing to the late firm are to be paid to the said John Cole, Isaac Webster, John Cole, the younger, and James Cole, by whom all debts owing by the said late firm will be paid. 1857 Partnership change. '... the Partnership lately subsisting between John Cole the elder, late of Bowling, in the parish of Bradford, in the county of York, Ironfounder, deceased, and the undersigned, Isaac Webster, John Cole, and James Cole, lately carrying on business at Bowling aforesaid, as Ironfounders and Engineers, under the firm of Cole, Marchent, and Co., was dissolved on the 13th day of April last, by the death of the said John Cole; and notice is hereby further given, that the surviving partners in the said late firm are now carrying on the said business on their own account, under the name of Cole, Marchent, and Co....'[2]

1876 Patent. '4512. And John Cole and James Cole, of the firm of Cole, Marchent, and Co., Prospect Foundry, Bradford, in the county of York, Engineers, have given the like notice in respect of the invention of "improvements in steam engines."'[3]
