COLIN SELWYN BROWN, BSc. (London), born on the 5th October, 1889, was killed in action in France on the 1st July, 1916.
On completing his training and graduating, he was appointed assistant engineer on the Beira and Mashonaland and Rhodesia railways under Mr. Charles Corner, M.Inst.C.E.
After the outbreak of war, he came home and obtained a commission in the Royal Engineers, proceeding to France towards the end of 1915.
He was elected an Associate Member on the 12th January, 1915.
