1929 Public Company formed as Combined Egyptian Mills.[1]

1929 Formed from the amalgamation of:[2]

1929 Also acquired the Kearsley Spinning Co[3]

1953 Name changed to Combined English Mills.[4]

1956 Closed the Rumworth Spinning Co.[5]

1959 Acquired refrigeration engineers F. W. Fidler and Son.[6]

1961 Engaged as spinners of fine cotton yarn and synthetic yarns also refrigerating and air conditioning engineers.[7]
