c.1872 The Cookley works belonged to J. Knight and Co

1886 Because of lack of a railway connection, the works at Cookley were closed and relocated to the Cookley Works at Brockmoor near Brierley Hill.

The site of the forge at Cookley remained in industrial use, at one time being occupied by Steel Stampings Ltd

1901 The Brierley Hill works belonged to Messrs Knight and Crowther when it was acquired by E. P. and W. Baldwin.
