Cooper and Greig
Cooper & Greig of Britannia Works, East Dock Street, Dundee.
Ironfounders, Engineers and Boilermakers. Made many marine steam engines.
Established 1880
1890-6 and possibly longer J. and H. Whyte and Cooper occupied the Britannia Engine and Boiler Works, Dundee
1897 John Sime Greig became a partner and the firm became Cooper and Greig
1910 Produced a 300 HP steam turbine[1]
c.1910 included an Industrial Motor Works[2]
1915 The business was incorporated as Cooper and Greig Limited, a private company, with capital of £25,000.[3]
1926 The company went into voluntary liquidation.[4]
