1933 Private company formed as Terrell's Iron and Steel Co Ltd[1]

1934 Started selling heating equipment of its own design

1935 Name changed to Terrell's Iron Steel and Coal Co Ltd

1939 Name changed to British Unit Heater Co Ltd; at this time began manufacturing heating equipment.

1946 Moved factory to Colnbrook

1947 Name changed to Copperad Ltd.

1957 Wallstrip heating system used skirting board-level convectors[2]

1959 Acquired Manwood Miller and Co Ltd (est 1952), makers of air conditioning equipment, which became Copperad Air Conditioning

1961 Manufacturers of steam, hot water and air handling equipment for heating and air conditioning. 511 employees.[3]

1962 Public company incorporated. Operated through 2 companies - Copperad Air Conditioning Ltd and Copperad (Stalybridge) Ltd, previously Eames and Price Ltd; Copperad (Stalybridge) also made some textile machinery, conveyer ovens and ductwork.

1969 Acquired by Ideal-Standard[4]

1974 Ideal sold Copperad to Myson[5]
