1862 Applied to Parliament for powers to light with gas the following districts, namely:
- Chertsey, Walton-upon-Thames, Sunbury, Shepperton, Littleton, and Weybridge, in Surrey
- Walthamstow and Leyton, except for the Lea Bridge District.
- Northfleet, Rosherville, Stone, Swanscombe, Gravesehd.
- Ware, Great Amwell and Little Amwell, Hertford, in Hertfordshire
- Pembroke, Pater, in the county of Pembroke.
and to maintain their existing gas works in these areas, and to improve, enlarge, renew, and extend the same, and to maintain all such buildings, apparatus, gasmeters, and other works as may be necessary for the purposes of manufacturing gas, and selling and disposing of the coke, residuum, and products arising from such manufacture, and to supply gas for public and private purposes within these districts.
and to lay down, continue, and maintain mains, pipes, and other apparatus and works in or under the several turnpike and other roads[1]
1868 Petition for the winding up of the company was presented by Mr. Stephenson Clarke, of No. 4, Saint Dunstan's-alley, Saint Dunstan's-hill, in the city of London, Coal Merchant, a creditor of the Company[2]
