1861 Partnership Dissolved (Charles Brigg). '...Partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned George Croft, Francis Butterfield, James Waterhouse Midgley, John Butterfield, George Wilkinson, and Charles Brigg, carrying on business at Keighley, Yorkshire, as Machine Tool Makers, under the style of Croft, Butterfield, and Co., was this day dissolved by mutual consent, so far as regards the said Charles Brigg.— All debts owing to and due from the said partnership will be received and paid by the said George Croft, Francis Butterfield, James Waterhouse Midgley, John Butterfield, and George Wilkinson, by whom the said business will be carried on...'[1]

'...the Partnership hitherto subsisting between the undersigned, George Croft, Francis Butterfield, James Waterhouse Midgley, George Wilkinson, and John Butterfield, all of Keighley, in the county of York, carrying: on business there as Engineers, Mill Wrights, and Tool Makers, under the style or firm of Croft, Butterfield, and Co., has been this day dissolved by mutual consent, so far as relates to or concerns the said James Waterbouse Midgley, and that all debts due to and from the said late firm will oe received and paid by the said George Croft, Francis Butterfield, George Wilkinson, and John Butterfield, who will in future carry on the said businesses under the said style or firm of Croft, Butterfield, and Co...'[2]
