DANIEL STEPHENS died on October 19, 1907, at the age of sixty-two.
He was born at Blaengwastod near Llanelly, and at a comparatively early age went to Kidwelly, where he engaged in the manufacture of silica bricks and helped to lay the foundation of the industry with which the district is at the present time so closely associated. He established the firm of [[Stephens and Co (of Dinas)|Stephens & Co.]], Dinas Silica Brick Works, Kidwelly. He was a Justice of the Peace, and a member of the South Wales Institute of Engineers.


He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1886.

DANIEL STEPHENS died on October 19, 1907, at the age of sixty-two.

He was born at Blaengwastod near Llanelly, and at a comparatively early age went to Kidwelly, where he engaged in the manufacture of silica bricks and helped to lay the foundation of the industry with which the district is at the present time so closely associated. He established the firm of Stephens & Co., Dinas Silica Brick Works, Kidwelly. He was a Justice of the Peace, and a member of the South Wales Institute of Engineers.

He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1886.
