Founded in 1786, Deakin and Francis is today, seven generations later, still owned and managed by the Deakin family. (From the company website - 02/08)

1780 Company established by Henry Woolfield and continued as Henry Woolfield and Son until 1825.

1825 C. W. S. Deakin carried on the business.

1881 J. H. Francis joined the firm.

1902 Incorporated as a limited company.

1914 Manufacturing jewellers and silversmiths. Specialities: gem and gold jewellery, goldware and silverware of all descriptions. [1]
