Donald Eyre of Rolls-Royce

1920 Joined Rolls-Royce as a drawing office apprentice at the age of 14.

1930s Appointed as a designer

In 1969 Donald Eyre set down his reminiscences of his work with Rolls-Royce, published by the Rolls-Royce Heritage Trust in 2005. As well as describing interesting aspects of his own activities, it provides a fascinating insight into the work of others, Frederick Henry Royce in particular[1]
