Former partners at Port Elizabeth: W. J. Stollreither and M. A. Fraundorfer (1871-1880), Henry Dowsett and T. E. Thewlis (1880-1892), Julius Auerbach and Richard Garthe (18931901).

Amalgamated in 1901 with the business of Theodor Dreyfus, established 1878 at East London, Cape Colony, and the London firm of Dreyfus & Co., founded 1874. Incorporated as a Limited Company under the style of Dreyfus & Co., Ltd.

1914 Directors: Julius Auerbach (Chairman), W. E. Hearson (Managing Director), T. E. Thewlis, and Arthur Auerbach. Business: Importation of Merchandise into Cape Colony; Exportation of Wool. Mohair, Feathers, &c.
