1888 Atkinson appointed chief draughtsman. The company was railway engineers.

1890 Stourton entered the works at Worcester

1895 Exhibited a gas economiser, for occasional lights, such as ground disc signals. Also showed several special descriptions of lamps fitted with dioptric lenses to spread the light as well as signal levers of their own design, and means of interlocking signals and points on a single track railway, which had been used abroad in various countries. A model of an electrical alarm for level crossing gates was also shown, giving notice before the gates start to close.
