1903 Advert: 'Valuable Engineering Works, situate Middleton, near Manchester, for Sale as a Going Concern in One Lot ..... ALL that Valuable ENGINEERING WORKS, called Globe Works, situate at Middleton. near Manchester, with the gas engine, shafting, piping, electric light installation, high class modern machine tools, plant, office furniture, and other fixtures therein, and the valuable land forming the site thereof. <br>The PREMISES leasehold, situate within 100 yards of Middleton Station, on the L. and Y. Wood turning lathes, milling machine, one new double tool box self-acting planing machine to plane 12ft. long 3ft. 6in. wide by 3ft. 6in. high. One new single tool box, ditto to plane 6ft. long 2ft. 6in. wide by 2ft. 6in. high.
