1904 Edward Rudd was proposed for associate membership of the IMechE; described as engineer, London and South of England representative of T. Coulthard and Co Ltd, engineers, Preston, and 26 Page Street, Westminster[1]
1907 E. W. Rudd and Co, London agents for Messrs. Alley and MacLellan Ltd. of Glasgow, exhibited two Sentinel steam wagons at the 1907 Commercial Motor Show.
1908 Exhibited a Coulthard[2].
1910 Incorporated as a limited company.
1914 Engineers and motor haulage contractors. Speciality: meat carrying and delivering in insulated motors. [3]
1948 The British Transport Commission acquired the company including its holding in J. Calnan and Sons Ltd, together with other transport and haulage businesses[4]. It became part of British Road Services (BRS)
1952 Transported a 130 foot distillation column from Greenwich to Grangemouth featured in film "Dodging The Column – 1952" by British Transport Films.
