1961 Founded near Harvard University; the company provided optical and opto-mechanical products for Research, OEM and Industrial applications. The company also created a series of teaching catalogues that sought to educate and promote the products of the company.

Later moved to South Natick, Massachusetts.

2013 The Ealing catalogue was acquired by Hyland Optical Technologies. Hyland Optical Technologies is a privately owned company based in Scotts Valley.
