Ebenezer Cowper (1804-1880)
1804 September 17th. Born at Enfield the son of Edward Cowper, a tea dealer, and he was the youngest brother of Edward Shickle Cowper.
He was articled to Lloyd, an engineer of Gravel Hill, Southwark, and spent all his working life manufacturing and installing letterpress printing machines, mostly designed by Applegath and Cowper, in Britain and on the continent.
Initially he worked in partnership with his brother as E. and E. Cowper
Later worked for Wren and Bennett in Birmingham.
1837 Married Harriot Jane Harrison.
