EBENEZER ELIAS COOPER died on October 20, 1916, aged eighty-six years. He started his career as an iron roller, but afterwards, with his son-in-law, founded the firm of Roberts & Cooper, timber merchants. Later on they acquired ironworks at Brettell Lane, Bromley, Brockmoor, and Great Bridge.
Mr. Cooper was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1896.
