Civil engineer, of The Priory Offices, Dudley

c.1811 Born in Sedgley

1841 Son of Joseph Smith; married Mary Roberts in West Bromwich[1]

1866 Edward Fisher Smith, Coneygre Iron Works, Dudley Port, Dudley.[2] - part of Round Oak Iron Works

Manager of the Round Oak Ironworks where he introduced several new processes and improvements, including use of the Casson-Dormy furnace[3]

c.1870 Chief agent of the Earl of Dudley at Tipton

1881 Edward F. Smith 70, Mining agent, lived in Priory Hall, Dudley with Mary Smith 64, Oliver Smith 34[4]

1892 of Regent's Park, Middlesex when he died[5] aged 81. [6]
