EDWARD GEORGE CLARK, born on the 16th April, 1863, died at Newmarket on the 4th July, 1911.
Trained under Messrs. Hunter and English, of Bow, he was afterwards employed by them as an assistant for several years on the design and erection of cranes, pumping-engines, dredgers and other machinery.
In 1892 he was sent by the firm to Peru to reconstruct and work a dredger on Lake Titicaca. He also cut a canal between Puno and Chicuo Point and surveyed for a new port at Huaje.
In 1896 he was appointed sub-manager to the River Plate Electric Light Co., later becoming Manager, and resigning in 1904 owing to ill-health.
Mr. Clark was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 4th December, 1888.
