1821 Born in Liverpool son of Charles Tayleur and his wife Jane[1][2]

1843 Edward Tayleur joined the firm of Charles Tayleur and Co[3].

1847 of Tayleur and Co

1851 Lawrence Pool 42, attorney at law, lived in Northwich, with Edward Tayleur 30, born Walton, joint tenant, civil engineer; a visitor, Frederick Pel (?), 33 was a cast iron (?) merchant[4]

1852 Married Marianne Frances Bedford Kenyon in Wandsworth[5]

1861 Edward Tayleur 40, locomotive engineer, manufacturer, employed 420 (?) men and 98 boys, lived in Newton in Makerfield with his wife Marianne Tayleur 28, a few doors away from George Browne, cashier at the Vulcan Engineering Foundry[6]

1881 Edward Tayleur 60, Farmer of 154 Acres, 88 Arable, employed 10 Men, 1 Woman, 1 Boy, J. P., Retired Civil Engineer, lived in Troqueer, Kirkcudbrightshire, with Marianne Tayleur 48[7]
