Ship repairers of North Shields

1893 Edwards Shipbuilding Co (is that the same company?), a yard on the North-East Coast of England, received an order for two 5,000t vessels from Nelson, Donkin and Co of London (sic)[1]

1899 The Smiths Dock Co was registered [2] as result of amalgamation of T. and W. Smith with the Bull Ring repair yards of Harry S. Edwards and Sons and Edwards Brothers.
