Jens Ernest Chalmer (1879-1929). Founder of Chalmer and Hoyer later Hoyal Body Corporation

1879 Born at Menston, Yorkshire, the son of Jens Doderlein Schmidt and his wife Mary Chalmer. His father was Norwegian.

1881 Living at Norway Lodge, Menston, Yorkshire: Jenis E. Schmidt (age 2 born Menston). With his parents and siblings.[1]

1898-99 Thwaites Brothers

1901 Living at Kidderminster, Jens Ernest Schmidt, a mechanical Engineer. With Fanny Emma and a sister.[2]

1905 Membership of the IMechE
