ERNEST DIXON, born at Liverpool on the 26th January, 1880, died at Oldham on the 28th November, 1914.
On leaving Liverpool University, he entered the service of Sir John Jackson, and was engaged on the Devonport Docks and other contracts for a period of 8 years.
He then joined his father, Mr. G. N. Dixon, in his business of auctioneer, surveyor and valuer at Liverpool, remaining with him until August, 1912, when he was appointed Chief Government Valuer at Oldham.
Mr. Dixon was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 5th December, 1911.
