1930 Obituary [1]

ERNEST PETER SLACK was an apprentice in the shops of the London Brighton and South Coast Railway, and afterwards, in 1901, became a journeyman at Woolwich Arsenal.

In 1906 be was transferred to the Indian Ordnance Department and served as foreman in the gun-carriage factory at Jubbulpore. He was eventually promoted to be chief carriage examiner.

Mr. Slack died at Jubbulpore on 28th January 1930 at the age of 50.

He became an Associate Member of the Institution in 1925.
