1910 Born son of Alfred Ernest Owen

Educated at Lickey Hills School, Oundle, Loughborough College

1930 First post in the motor industry was as a draughtsman. He held various other positions.

1934 As a result of the death of his father (1929), Ernest became joint managing director of Rubery Owen with his brother Alfred George Beech Owen

1959 Joint Managing Director, Rubery Owen and Co and of the Owen Organisation
